Based in the heart of the Chatsworth community, our store is looking for a passionate cook to join our deli.

**COOK RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Food prep**:

- Cook and prepare a quality range of meals and other deli products according to recipes. You need to have detailed knowledge of preparation of various dishes

**Department Safety and Maintenance -**
- Ensure the deli team exercise hygiene control and maintain excellent housekeeping protocols in compliance with health departments.
- Check expiry dates of merchandized-frozen products and act accordingly.
- Follow recipes and maintain high standards of quality on well established dishes
- Keep the sales area, including the counters, refrigerator counters, shelves, walls and floors, clean and presentable always.
- Follow all company and safety policies and procedures.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of self or others.
- Order and purchase products as requested
- Follow prescribed opening, closing and stocking procedures.

**Competencies**
- Extensive knowledge of cooking and preparing English and Indian meals
- A passion for English and Indian cuisine
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Operation of kitchen equipment
