An exciting opportunity exists for a **Senior** **Reconciliations Administrator** to join our company. This position is based in Cape Town.

The Senior Reconciliations Administrator reports directly to the Group Reconciliations Manager.

The main purpose of this role is to oversee the reconciliations team in order to monitor the movements of money within the company accounts and create reconciliations to ensure all transactions balance. The Senior Reconciliations Administrator will also liaise with various internal and external stakeholders from time to time to ensure that inventory and petty cash is accounted for accurately.

**Duties and Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)**:
**Supervisory**
- Perform daily reconciliations for complex partners and their monthly signoffs.
- Balance workloads for the team to optimise their strengths & weaknesses whilst also considering development opportunities (training needs, regular coaching, follow ups)
- Conduct one to one performance reviews for the team and bi-annual KPI reviews
- Conduct weekly team meetings to ensure feedback on reconciliation issues or any areas of concern.
- Give active support of month-end close through review of regular signoffs and ensuring the team's adherence to the company reporting standards & deadlines
- Working with new and existing clients to improve the quality of reporting received from them.
- Encouraging and assisting the team to proactively investigate and resolve any discrepancies uncovered during the reconciliation process
- Identify areas of operational improvement, particularly in terms of automation and scalability, reflecting the broader growth trajectory of the organization
- Handle all escalations from the team and ensure that they are resolved by offering solutions and guidance where possible.
- Lead the team by keeping them motivated, empowered and encouraged, while promoting peer development and horizontal communication.
- Interdepartmental liaison for any high-level recon related matters.
- Recruitment and training for both HQ and countries Reconciliation Administrators
- Assist the Group Reconciliations Manager where required by attending product strategic meetings such as partner engagements, projects updates and ensure that all recon issues are addressed.
- Assist in coordinating all audit requirements and any other adhoc projects or processes as assigned.
- Manage own professional and self-development

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 / or equivalent (Essential)
- Degree/diploma (Desirable)
- Supervisory / Managerial coupled with coaching and mentorship experience (Desirable)
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in the accounting field with an extensive experience on debtors and creditors reconciliations
- Proven record of working on spreadsheets and knowledge of Excel formulae
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Knowledge of Mukuru products and Mukuru system (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of AML practices
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: R30,000.00 per month
