**Job Summary**:
Aon South Africa is recruiting a Client Manager in our Commercial division, based in our Pretoria offices. The role of the Client Manager is to build and improve day to day client relationships, write new business, manage portfolios of client accounts and provide technical expertise to less experienced employees.
This position complies with the Company's Employment Equity policies
**Key Responsibilities**:
Responsible for leading, developing and improving the day to day client relationship.
Responsible for building a “client profile” of risks and needs analysis in respect of the portfolio of clients.
Responsible for input into the renewal process which includes, but is not limited to:
- Preparing pre-renewal documents.
- Meeting with clients.
- Sending renewal notifications.
- Sending cancellation letters were applicable.
Responsible for structuring insurance programmes to meet the needs of portfolio clients.
Responsible for producing client documentation (including policy documents and claims statistics), leading or contributing to renewal meetings, fee negotiations and Insurer discussions.
Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability.
Responsible for compliant dealings with clients.
Participate into the development of new business with either existing or new clients.
Co-ordinates teams of Client Service Advisors (where applicable) to ensure client service standards are met.
Acts as a support to the Business Manager on strategic accounts.
Responsible for credit control.
Build a pipeline for new business prospects.
**Minimum Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:
A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferable.
Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.
Must be registered as an associate with the IISA.
**Knowledge**:
Excellent knowledge of policy wordings in particular Commercial Insurance.
A comprehensive knowledge of the South African short-term insurance markets.
An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.
Computer literacy with advanced know-how in MS Word and Excel.
**Skills and Attributes**:
Skill and confidence to articulate Aon’s proposition and how it differentiates Aon and benefit clients.
Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
Well
- Developed communication skills.
Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken.
Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in and with teams.
**Experience**:
- Have a minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
**FAIS Compliance**:
Comply with the applicable Fit and Proper provisions as set out in the Board Notice 106 of 2008 issued by the Financial Services Conduct Authority governing Financial Advisory and Intermediary services Act, 2002 - Determination of Fit and Proper requirements for Financial Service Providers, 2008.
Have knowledge and understanding of the applicable provisions set out in the General Code of Conduct for Authorized Financial Services Providers and Representatives (as governed by the Financial Services Board, Board Notice 80 of 2003).
Have knowledge and understanding of the applicable provisions set out in the Short Term Insurance Act No 53 of 1998 and supporting regulations.
Have an understanding of the provisions of the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), No 38 of 2001 and amendments thereof.
