Apprentice Electrician

We are seeking an Installation Electrician on our maintenance team.

**Purpose of the role**

As an Installation Electrician on our maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced technologies and equipment. We are looking for an energetic, resourceful IE driven by quality workmanship and striving for continuous improvement by learning plants and related systems quickly.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- You will be working on power plant/process electrical systems to ensure the availability and safe operation of electrical equipment.
- Issuing of COC
- Daily routine equipment inspections and carry out all planned maintenance schedules
- Reduce plant stoppages and breakdowns, and attend to all breakdowns and callouts
- Installing and commissioning of small projects in liaison with all stakeholders
- Ensure highest level of workmanship when maintaining critical equipment
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures
- Attend site specific meetings
- Ensure tools and materials are adequate for daily tasks

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- Grade 12
- N4 - N6 Electrical Engineering
- Recognised Trade Test
- Wireman’s License Registered with the DoL
- Valid HAZLOC certificate
- PLC AND VLC
- TERMINATION AND JOINTING OF CABLES
- ELECTRIC FENCE INSTALLATIONS
- Must have 5 years’ experience working in Plant maintenance

**REMUNIRATION|**:
Market related

**Salary**: R45,00 - R95,00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
