A 12-month Graduate Programme Agronomist in Training with Omnia

Omnia’s Agriculture division, a global organisation is the market leader in Southern Africa. The division produces granular, liquid and speciality fertilizers and a whole host of value-added services for a broad customer base of farmers, co-operatives and distributing globally to a further 40 countries throughout Southern and East Africa, Australia, New Zealand, US, and Brazil. The Omnia Agriculture division’s range of specialised products and services are encompassed by its unique Nutriology® offering, which assists customers to optimise crop yield and quality.

**Qualifications**:

- BSc (Agric) with Soil Science, Agronomy, and/or Agri Economics

**Experience**:

- 0-2 years working experience in a similar role.
- Assistance with crop monitoring
- Drawing samples (leaf, soil, water)
- Drawing of precision samples on a grid basis
- Calibration of irrigation systems
- Knowledge of crops and practical cropping systems.
- Valid Drivers License

**Duties**:

- Provide professional fertilization and agronomic advice to farming enterprises
- Provide strategic support to Omnia representatives/agents with regard to products and recommendations
- Building and managing fruitful and sustainable relationships with clients.
- Attending to and resolving customer queries.
- Driving sales and marketing of products through effective relationship management and technical proficiency
- Working closely with other Omnia functions and business units
