**Job Title**: Cultural Advisor - Specialising in Setswana Culture and Traditions

As we embark on our latest television series project, we are seeking a highly knowledgeable and passionate Cultural Advisor to ensure accuracy, respect, and authenticity in portraying various cultures represented in the storyline.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Cultural Research**: Conduct in-depth research on the cultures, traditions, customs, and social norms depicted in the TV series. This includes but is not limited to historical contexts, language nuances, societal hierarchies, and cultural sensitivities.

2. **Consultation**: Collaborate closely with the production team, including writers, directors, producers, and costume designers, to provide accurate cultural insights and guidance throughout the development and production phases.

3. **Script Review**: Review scripts to identify any cultural inaccuracies, stereotypes, or misrepresentations. Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for adjustments to ensure authenticity and respect for the cultures being portrayed.

4. **Language Assistance**: Offer linguistic expertise, including translations and language coaching, to ensure the accurate portrayal of dialogue and communication within the context of the depicted cultures.

5. **Cultural Sensitivity Training**: Conduct training sessions for cast and crew members to increase cultural awareness, sensitivity, and understanding. Facilitate discussions on cultural differences and appropriate behaviour on set.

6. **On-Set Support**: Be available on set during filming to address any cultural questions or concerns that may arise. Offer guidance to ensure that cultural elements are portrayed authentically and respectfully.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

2. Proven experience as a Cultural Advisor or Consultant for film, television, or other media productions.

3. Expertise in one or more cultures relevant to the TV series, with a deep understanding of their history, customs, traditions, and contemporary social dynamics.

4. Strong research skills and the ability to critically analyze cultural materials and sources.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.

6. Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to promoting accurate and respectful portrayals of diverse cultures on screen.
