Welder / Fabricator

**WE ARE HIRING**

We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Trade qualification & driver’s license are compulsory.
- Management of welding department.
- Fabrication of Mild steel and Stainless-steel components as required ensuring that the highest standards in finish and tolerances, in accordance with information supplied, are achieved using sound “trade” methods.
- Weld components and framework using a variety of welding processes. TIG / MIG / Stainless
- Position aligns and fit parts according to specifications.
- Grind, sand, polish, and detail fabrications to required finish using hand and power tools to a high standard.
- Measure and examine completed work to verify conformance to specifications.
- All Fabrications tasks are to be completed in the agreed (quoted) time limits or better.
- Operation of manual machine tools, as part of the fabrication process when required.
- Machines to be kept in a tidy and well-maintained manner, which would require maintenance be undertaken from time to time.
- Share industry knowledge/train apprentices.
- Ensure that the supply of consumables, i.e., gas & welding wire does not run which could affect the job.
- Work with the manager to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Maintains tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
- Display flexibility to work in other departments.
- Willingness to work after hours, if necessary, to assist the company in meeting production goals.
- Liaise with design team and give input into new designs.
- Report drawing errors.
- Time management is imperative to ensure that deadlines are met.

**Job Type**: Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Jet Park, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
