Head of Finance and Accounting

Management of the Competence Centre Finance & Accounting with a total of 3 employees
- Direct reporting to the CEO
- Close working relationship with the Deputy CEO
- Supervision of the bookkeeping and accounting
- Preparation of the annual financial planning
- Preparation of annual independent audit and other audits
- Monthly and quarterly reporting to Germany, Local Financials, including monthly trial balances to the CEO (IFRS & German requirements)
- Monthly cash flow forecasting / align cash flow with operations
- Responsible for monthly departmental forecasting process
- Preparation of monthly payroll
- Preparation of all mandatory returns, including tax reports to SARS
- Preparation of VAT returns and consolidation
- Introduction of full cost accounting (incl. overhead
- and administrative costs)
- Consolidation of the cost accounts for the foreign subsidiaries (Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe)
- Maintenance of personnel records and files

**Minimum Requirements**

We are looking for a reliable, flexible team player who can work independently and self
- motivated. We presume excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a solution
- oriented, positive mindset.
- German language skill B2 (or equivalent) or higher
- Relevant degree/diploma in accounting, finance, or relevant field and at least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Solid knowledge in South African accounting and taxation
- Knowledge of MS Office and financial software programs (Sage Pastel)
- Ability to present clear and concise financial information to various audiences
