Product Manager

Reports To: Head Of Product

Purpose Of Position: To define, manage and implement product strategy

Minimum Qualifications / Relevant business degree or alternatively a National Diploma

Requirements: duration 3 year (minimum NQF level 6)

**SKILLS REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE**:
5 Years product marketing

Good Microsoft Office skills

Substantial knowledge of the motor industry and extensive understanding of management and operations

Good financial acumen.

Must at least have the ability to understand financial processes and statements

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Good business acumen in understanding business operations processes

Collaborator and good inter-personal skills

Good presentation skills

Management and leadership skills

Excellent reporting skills

Strong analytical ability

Self-driven, initiative-taking

**Product & Pricing Strategy**:
Research on Price and Product in the company’s range versus the competitors, and monitoring competitors’ pricing and brand strategy, policies, volumes, incentives, and discount structures.

Plan product changes and enhancements.

Investigating potential products and their potential in the local market.

Prepare product information sources such as Pricelists / Brochures / Specification

Sheets / Info Flashes on product changes and evolutions. Communicating these to the dealer network and other stakeholders.

Working with other departments within PCSA to ensure correct vehicle information is communicated to the media, dealers, and other interested parties.

Creating vehicle variants and commercial information into distribution systems.

Preparing Pricing Tool which is a key tool in determining the pricing which we will receive from France for our products, and which enables us to assess our products against the competition on an even keel.

Planning pricing strategies based on the market and profitability requirements.

Benchmarking and monitoring industry and market trends / opportunities and threats and sources of competitive advantage.

**Market Intelligence**:
Collect competitor activity, launch information and customer clinics

**Analysis & Reporting**:
Developing and researching products in association with relevant stakeholders

Analyze relevant market data

Conduct any additional or reasonable duties that may be allocated to you by management
