M&a Principal

**Role Purpose**

The role encompasses a MMH group-wide scope and forms part of MMH's Corporate Finance team, which forms part of MMH's Group Finance division. The M&A Principal is responsible to ensure that MMH's corporate actions are executed professionally in the best interest of shareholders.

**Requirements**:

- Bcom (Accounting); Legal degree; Economics degree or equivalent.
- CA (SA) will be an added advantage.
- Qualified or Nearly Qualified Actuary will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' post-qualification experience with previous experience of corporate action.
- International experience will be an advantage.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Execution of corporate transactions, which includes the negotiation of transaction terms, overseeing the drafting of legal agreements as well as fulfillment of conditions.
- Provide a sound structure for determination of transaction terms and financial modelling of projected cash flows and synergies.
- Effective coordination of coordination transactions (incl. diligence investigations).
- The engagement of, and liaison with external professional advisors.
- Ensuring submission of accurate transaction proposals to the various governance forums of the MMH Holdings group, including MMH's M&A Committee, Executive Committee, Board Investment Committee as well as the MMH board of directors.
- Coordinate the regulatory submissions and approvals where required.
