Shop Floor Supervisor

**Job Purpose**

This position is responsible for the general housekeeping of the shop (cleanliness and product display) and supervising of the general workers (tile handlers).

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Supervising all duties of staff (tile handlers and dispatcher) reporting to this role.
- Monitor staff attendance and other relating issues w.r.t. being operational.
- Ensure that all tiles and isles are cleaned first thing every morning and the continuous monitoring thereof during day.
- Monitor that labels are correct and neatly displayed on tiles and other products.
- Managing staff to load customers as required from Sales Reps.
- Arrange orders for customers and warehouse to be prepared as instructed by Sales Reps.
- Ensure that the correct procedure is followed when loading stock for customers to prevent breakages.
- Arrange that all stock delivered to the showroom is displayed on the floor a.s.a.p.
- Oversee all loading and offloading of pallets as to minimise breakages and enforce necessary steps for negligence.
- With guidance from the Sales Reps attend to displays and promotions on the outside of the shop.
- Responsible for dispatching / receiving the correct number of products as per the delivery note from warehouse via dispatcher at door.
- Arrange for minimum boxes left on pallet(s) to be transported back to the warehouse.
- Monitor site outside showroom - keep it clean and arrange for empty pallets and full crates to be ready for collection.
- Ensure that no more than 2 staff members at any given time are on tea or lunch breaks.
- Initiate disciplinary action via HR when necessary.
- Liaise daily with Warehouse Manager regarding stock required for the showroom.
- Responsible for ensuring showroom stays neat w.r.t. stock being displayed - no loose boxes/tiles obstructing passage ways.
- Ensure staff abide by corporate clothing rules and replace items where necessary.
- Assist with stocktaking when required.
