**Job Description**:
**TOMRA Mining** is currently looking for a **Field Service Technician **to join our team in South Africa. The Field Service Technician will travel to our customers mine sites to commission, test, operate, repair, and maintain TOMRA ore sorters under the leadership of our Service Manager.
- Installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing sensor-based sorters in TOMRA's Mining/Mineral Processing install base;
- Delivering exceptional customer experiences through top class communication and support using various mediums;
- Identifying opportunities to add value to our customers' businesses through the introduction of complementary TOMRA products, solutions, and services;
- Acting as a conduit between our customer base and regional hub by providing in-market feedback;

**Qualifications**:

- A National Diploma in industrial instrumentation, and must be a qualified technician or engineer, or have a similar degree in the natural sciences;
- ** At least 2-3 years of work experience in an industrial environment is required**;
- Willingness to **travel approximately 180 day/ year**;
- You have a **valid driver's license**;
- Have a strong **safety mindset** and a commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and procedures in the workplace;
- Be at ease with computer programs;
- Excellent technical problem-solving, troubleshooting, and follow-up skills;
- Good communication skills when dealing with people;
- ** Previous experience in mining or mineral processing is a plus.**
