**Small kitchen and furniture company seeking an experienced machinist to join our workshop. Based in Maitland, Cape Town.**

**Role and responsibilities**:

- Machine raw materials under guidance of a senior team member.
- Assist the team in other parts of the making process under guidance of a senior team member.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience machining (cut, plane, shape, and sand) solid timber for the making of furniture and cabinetry,
- Experience with a reputable furniture company is required.
- Experience in the process of sealing solid timber and cabinetry is beneficial.
- Portfolio of work and/or employment references
- Driving license (Code: B) is beneficial.
