**Minimum Requirement**
- M.Communication Pathology in Audiology.
- 1 - 2 years post comm serve.
- Excellent English skills and communication ability.
- Ability to organize and run a research project.
- High competence in hearing aid fitting/aural rehabilitation.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve research aims and clinical goals.

**Responsibilities**

**Research**
- Conduct user studies, usability engineering studies, RETSPL studies, Clinical validation studies, and all other product related studies to support the product development team (including contextual discovery, experience mapping, diary studies, early-stage concept, and prototype testing, lab-based and contextual usability, and accessibility testing).
- Manage all aspects and requirements of the research study being performed (including planning, time allocation, funding, participant recruitment, and performing the relevant testing and documentation).
- Work with the team to develop and advocate appropriate research strategies to understand user needs for a service, and to continually test and improve the service.
- Foster a culture of team involvement in user research, team analysis, design rationale and decision-making based on user needs.
- Design, execute and analyse quantitative and qualitative surveys.
- Effectively document and communicate user research findings to the team and the wider organisation.
- Prepare reports and relevant documentation required for regulatory submissions.
- Liaise with the relevant teams to turn user research findings into stories and actions that lead to valuable product and service features.

**Documentation and certification**
- Assist the Legal and Regulatory team with the required documentation for regulatory bodies.
- Report on all research in a format acceptable for regulatory bodies.
- Investigate certification requirements and give feedback to the product development team.

**Literature reviews**
- Keep up to date with new research or publications in the related field of user studies.
- Conduct market research to stay up to date with trends and competitors.
- Document any relevant literature and update the body of literature.
- Liaise with the Legal and Regulatory team on the knowledge obtained in the reviews.

**QMS**
- Ensure that QMS guidelines are adhered to.
- Ensure that all supporting documents are kept to date.
- Ensure that all processes are kept relevant.
