- Be alert and proactive in identifying and communicating equipment deficiencies
- Monitor and report on consumables used (bits, rods in R/m and shank and coupling usage
- Effective self and team management in alignment with M&RC's values
- Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and Client standards, policies and procedures

**Minimum requirements**- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Drill Rig Operator Certificate
- Load Haul Dumper and Dump Truck operating license
- Valid EB Driver's License
- Blasting Certificate (advantageous)
- At least 4 years drilling experience on a trackless mining operation
- Experience operating a Twin Boom Drill Rig with split feeds, drilling the development face in various ways, installing weld mesh and split sets, drilling long anchors and drilling and installing quick-chem resin bolts with the same machine
- Experience in operating Dump Trucks and Load Haul Dumpers
- Extensive working experience in decline shaft development as a Drill Master (site specific)
- Experience in training Drill Operators and monitoring their performance
- Proven track record of production achievements
- Good knowledge and experience of mechanised mining operations
- Proven track record of production achieveme
