**Position Overview**:
As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience and insights into the field of Human Resources. You will work closely with the Head of HR to support various HR functions, learn about HR processes, and contribute to the overall success of the organization's people strategies.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Recruitment Support**:

- Assist in drafting job descriptions and posting job openings on various job boards.

**Onboarding**:

- Assist in preparing new hire welcome packages and materials.
- Coordinate new hire orientation sessions and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Assist in setting up new hires in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).

**Employee Relations**:

- Support the Head of HR in employee engagement initiatives and activities.
- Assist in organizing company-wide events, workshops, and team-building activities.
- Help maintain and update employee records and files.

**Training and Development**:

- Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops for employees.
- Help track and manage employee training records.

**HR Administration**:

- Assist in maintaining HR documents, policies, and procedures.
- Support the HR team in various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
- Help with HR-related communications and announcements.

**Compliance and Legal**:

- Assist in ensuring HR processes and practices are compliant with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Help with audits and compliance-related tasks as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Completed degree in Human Resources, or Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy in work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of HR principles and practices is a plus.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 6 months

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ceres, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
