Follow SHEAR procedures when operating and provide training continuously to validate and enforce the importance of safety, Health and Environment to all employees. Coordinate incident and accident investigation as well as site Risk activities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering
- Relevant qualification in Safety/Health. /Environment/Quality
- SAMTRAC or equivalent
- ISO 9001/14001/18001
- NEMA Environmental Act
- 4 years relevant experience
- Must be computer literate
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills
- Innovation and adaptability.
- Strong Managerial and hands-on leadership skills.
- Possess a formal SABS ISO 9000, 14000, 18001, and auditing qualification.
- Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint would also be desirable.
- Proven track record of supervisory skills earned in a manufacturing environment.
- The ability to interact with all role players, customers, and ISO/WCM Auditors at all levels.
- The ability to organise, lead motivate and control.
- Be a good communicator
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise, plan, follow up and execute projects is essential

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ensure implementation, control, and management of all legal and ISO systems at the Isover factory.
- Ensure Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental systems are in compliance.
- Monitoring compliance OSHAS 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, Saint -Gobain Standards, legal requirement and ensure recommendations or deviations are closed out promptly.
- Improve systems processes used in the Factory to tangibly change the safety culture leading to informed compliance by employees. This done by conducting systems self-check audits, and health and safety audits.
- Use analysed data of Health, Safety and Environmental checklists and audits to identify, plan and organise training to instil compliance of Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental processes.
- Ensure critical organizational roles (employees) know hazard identification and effective risk assessments that prevent incidents/accidents and injuries.
- Validates training and competence of responsible persons and SHE representatives on incident investigation and other standards. Ensure their training needs are analyzed and requirements are met.
- Ensure actions from risk assessments/profiles are implemented and risks are reduced.
- Ensure monthly safety reports and quarterly risk control reports are timeously compiled and submitted.
- Ensure that medical surveillance programs are implemented
- Ensure that all necessary surveys are conducted and actions are followed through to completion.
- Review and contribute procedure and work instruction drafting and adoption.
- Ensure that schedules are drawn up for planned job observations, that they are conducted at the intervals specified and that recommendations made are followed through.
- Ensure that incident and accident registers are updated.
- Co-ordinate incident and accident investigations where required ensure actions from incident and accident investigations are followed through to completion.
- Ensure incident and accident statistics are updated.
- Ensure that a poster program has been implemented
- Ensure that personal protective equipment is issued to personnel as and when required.
- Co-ordinate health and safety committee meetings.
- Contact person for external and internal audits coordination and initiate mandatory ISO requirement meeting.
- Compile role quarterly reports for progress and continuous WCM improvement interventions.
- Actively engage, coach and challenge management towards safety commitment and close out of their actions.
- Liaise with head of departments to maintain legal register, ensuring employees understand standards determined by the legislator, and that company procedures are adhered to and amended as and when required.
- Endeavour for continuous improvement in SHE and use of robust systems to prevent incidents and incidents.
- Identify, plan and organise training to ensure compliance of Safety, Health, Quality and Environmental processes, in addition to auditing the effectiveness of all training undertaken.
- Initiate mandatory ISO requirement meetings, compilation of monthly reports, and maintain all quality records.
- Maintain the legal register, ensuring that all employees understand the standards determined by the legislator, and that the company procedures are adhered to and amended as and when required.
- Any reasonable tasks given from time to time
- Ensure compliance to Safety Regulations and that applicable reports and communication is done on time.
- Where necessary, provide for the training of employees and contractors e.g. induction.
- Ensure that training records are maintained and updated.
