Inventory Controller

Be the interface between suppliers and other relevant departments.
- Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified quality, costs and lead times.
- Track and trace open purchase orders and outstanding quotations.
- Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
- Update the procurement management systems and proactively escalate system update issues.
- Drive continuous cost saving initiative through alternate sourcing and strong negotiations.
- Assess and evaluate suppliers and contribute to performance reviews.
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships.
- Prepare reports and updates as and when required
- Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards.
- Support continual business improvement and change management.
- Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures and practices.
- Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Procurement
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in spare parts stores
- A broad knowledge of engineering operations and safety requirements
- Technical knowledge of engineering components
- A detailed knowledge of commercial requirements and systems, specifically applicable to the compiling and administration of major contracts and commercial law
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Excellent understanding of Safety & Health requirements
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to write reports
