**POSITION**: Production** **Superintendent**

**LOCATION : PPC Aggregates Quarries**

**REPORTS TO**: General Manager**

**NUMBER OF POSITIONS**: 1**

**DATE OF VACANCY**: Immediate**
- Manages the safe, legal,sustainable and cost-effective production of the good quality clinker also manages coal and clinker stocks and movement.
- Also manages the shift supervisors' functions. Hires and, develops the Production workforce under him/her to deliver high quality and efficient services

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric
- Tertiary Qualification (Engineering qualification)
- Mechanical Engineering Degree/Industrial Engineer
- Basic electrical course will be an added advantage.
- 5 years supervisory experience or Managerial position

**SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- SAP ERP
- On Key
- Microsoft Office - Intermediate
- Industrial Control Software (SCADA)
- Performance Management System
- Achiever System,ISO EMS 14001 2015, QMS 9001 and OHS45001 2018 systems
- People’s and Managerial Skills
- Cost Management experience
- Budgeting

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Understanding of the plant maintenance and ensure preventative maintenance done regularly as planned.
- Assign daily duties for improving plant safety and dust free operation.
- Conduct regular Invocoms
- Weekly and monthly operational report to GM / Any requested plant report
- Be competent on SAP and offer technical support to the team
- Adhere to month end closing deadlines
- Overall responsibility for all plant activities including Logistics, Sales, Customer Service, Quality - maintain relationship with Eskom and Sappi
- Liaise with ash supplier(s) to understand their plant status and do appropriate planning to maximise ash extraction and in line with sales forecast.
- Attend to customer issues and deal with non-conformances.
- Develop your team and set KPIs and IDPs
- Constantly reduce waste/cost with better planning optimising our process.
