General Ledger Administration
oEnsure all accounts in the ledger are verified, accurate and complete

IFRS17 - Assist with preparing and implementing the IFRS17 requirements from a finance perspective

Commission Sign-off
oReview commission calculation and sign off

Monthly Recons
oReview all recons pertaining to Life and Insurance Companies

Regulatory reporting
oAssist with preparation of monthly/quarterly returns e.g., NCR, SARB Research, Liquidity and SARB Asset Allocation Returns

Monthly reporting
oAssist with preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts

Audits / Annual Financial Statements
oAssist with coordinating external audits
oAssist with auditor queries
oAssist with preparation of AFS

Bi-annual SASRIA Audit
oFacilitate the bi-annual SASRIA external audit
oAssist with auditor queries

Maintenance of Reinsurance Accounts
oEnsure adherence to treaties terms and conditions and ensure that monthly premiums are calculated accurately for both Insurance and Life Assurance.

Check BEE Schedules
oEnsure the quarterly schedules are correctly prepared and balances to the general ledger
oLiaise with the transformation team for requirements/queries

Assist in managing cash flow and budgeting processes

Complete Vat returns

Work closely with senior management team.

Assist with completion of annual tax returns

Capturing Insurance Claim payments when required

Ad-hoc items/projects as and these arise and may include but not limited to:
oSystem testing
oPremium queries and recalculations
