Procurement Expeditor

Accountable To : Stores Manager
Educational Requirements : Grade 12, Business administration, Supply Chain management
Experience Requirements : 5 years’ experience in financial administration /

Procurement and supplier administration/ Expediting

**Job Description**:

- Expedite the execution of purchase orders and ensure timely delivery, including support of logistic activities.
- Document and report expediting activities to Purchasing, Stores Management and Director
- Provide input as it relates to the job timeline and schedule
- Participate in production, planning, commercial and quality meetings
- Update system for supplier delivery dates
- Escalate and address with suppliers’ delivery dates that are not acceptable in line with purchase order
- Manage supplier On Time in full and report
- Monthly evaluation of supplier on time in full and issue of corrective actions to suppliers
- Maintain a Project Procurement Plan and delivery reports
- Manage progress with suppliers, including detailed progress reports and visits, if necessary.
- Monitor the performance of suppliers across the entire supply chain
- Maintain constant communication with suppliers to identify process, product, and service improvement opportunities
- Support supplier related changes and claims management.
- Adhere to and enforce compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, regulations
- Control and schedule all deliveries and collections as per projects
- May be assigned to special projects and/or required to perform other duties, as assigned
- Participate in production, planning, commercial and quality meetings
- Source alternate suppliers or components to ensure project timings are met
- Raise supplier CPARS and internal CPARS
- Return to suppliers, including foreign return with freight to be followed up on including refunds Doc. No PLXP6.3 SF01 Rev 0

Experience Requirements/Skills & Abilities:

- Experience in procurement expediting, preferably in a jobbing shop environment
- Working with project schedules and supply chains
- Motivated, enthusiastic, self-driven and dedicated
- Excellent time management skills: attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
- Confident, articulate, and professional communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities and work well under pressure with a sense of both urgency and thoroughness
- Willingness to overtime when required
- Professional, positive, and energetic attitude; excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written skills and ability to provide audit trails
- Source alternate components and prevent downtime
- Computer literate - intermediate to advance Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Syspro advantageous
- High-level computer skills to enhance support work and interaction with the customers and Factory

- Supplier delivery on time and in full
- Supplier rejection percentage (by order, line item, or unit)
- Supplier compliance with contract
- Compliance rate
- Supplier defect rate
- PO and invoice accuracy
- Supplier lead time
