Key Purpose Statement The primary function of the position is to provide a comprehensive internal forensics audit consultation and investigation service to CCBSA. Ensuring the company interests, losses and liabilities are minimised through in depth investigations into stock losses and waste management. Determine levels of process compliance and ensure sound business processes. Identify high risk areas in the business and develop and implement sustainable solutions to minimise the risk, fraud and losses by ensuring compliance to company policy and procedures. Implement and ensure excellent stock management practices.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities**: Key Outputs and Accountabilities Fraud and Stock Loss Investigations - Ensure that the all shortcomings identified during audits (including Shared Learning’s) are communicated to the business, shared with the Internal Audit Function, and that corrective action is taken. This includes issues relating to inadequate site security from documented controls, physical, electronic and guarding perspective. - To ensure that the contracted security service providers and contracted forensic auditor consultants are adequately optimised and that the level of service required is maintained. - Act to limit fraud risk exposure, to reduce losses, create fraud awareness and follow an audit plan (ensure Corporate Governance support for line Managers). - In respect of fraud/theft risks, to ensure the relevant policies and procedures to mitigate or transfer the risk are in place, current and complied with and amended with the functional line owner. Insurance - Examining specific risk areas with a view to implementing "quick fixes", cost savings and risk reduction savings to prevent/minimise Fidelity losses. - Investigating specific claims with a view to minimising exposure/loss levels, where third party damage is involved that comprehensive information is obtained to limit the quantum claimed and protect company self-insurance structures. - To monitor and manage serious loss areas and make senior Management aware of serious risks/liabilities, prepare evidence for the appropriate remedial action. Forensic - Independently plan, co-oordinate, control and conduct in depth forensic investigations - Where applicable to institute criminal/civil action - Proactively Identify high risk areas in the business through leveraging current information systems - Compile project plans and concept documents and carry out investigations within set action plans and time frames - Stock contingency plans developed and implemented - Assist in the developing and implementation of a Regional Risk Management and control strategy to minimise risks, losses and exposures and ensure that risks are effectively and accordingly managed. Governance - Be informed on related acts and regulations that might impact on own work. - Keep up to date records of completed work. - Ensure quality of work content, minimise mistakes and continuously improve quality and standards. - Constantly align own work method to changes in work requirements, procedures, policies, processes, and delivery systems to meet targets. - Draw conclusions about the nature and scope of suspected criminal activities and where appropriate, identify suspects and or entities involve - Ability to assist in the investigation and formulation of charges in terms of misconduct, present evidence on behalf of management, and a sound knowledge of IR is required.
**Skills, Experience & Education**:
Qualifications Knowledge and Experience Required - Relevant 3 Year Appropriate tertiary qualification. - Previous forensic audit investigator experience at Management level within a Government Agency or Major Accounting firm (10 years experience minimum required) and or;
- Worked in a Criminal Justice Environment (min 7 years). - Extensive Court/Litigation experience as a professional witness. Primary Qualification Suitable Supporting/Alternative Qualifications such as: - Bachelor of Technology: Forensic Investigation - B Com in Forensic Accountancy - National Diploma: Police Management - B-Pol - Police Science - Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Auditing - Diploma in Forensic Accounting - Certificate in Money Laundering Control Experience - 10 years FMCG relevant experience - 8 years’ experience in forensics and stock management - Exceptional in-depth understanding and knowledge of SAP transactions affecting stock - Employee Relations experience advantageous - Computer literacy Key Competencies Knowledge: - Project management and Investigation - Problem solving techniques - Planning and organising - Sound financial acumen focusing on waste - Income Statement elements - Impact of all transactions relating to stock management & control - Knowledge of the legal principles involved in investigation and prosecution of corporate fraud/corruption. - Sound knowledge of law, criminal procedure, asset forfeiture and civil litigation matters. - Sound IR process knowle
