**Job Advert Summary**:
The CCBR is seeking to employ Tracers who will be responsible for tracking and returning defaulted patients. Tracers will work closely with DOH facilities, Data capture and will be reporting to the Stakeholder Relations Coordinator and Project Manager

This position is offered on a **24-month contract**

**Minimum Requirements**:**
Minimum requirements**:

- University Degree in Public Administration or Communication or Community Development
- Matric/ Grade 12 with minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Clinical trial or research experience
- Current GCP certificate
- Prior knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS issues.
- Have previous experience working with Department of Health facilities.
- Commitment to working as part of multi-disciplinary research team.
- The ability to work accurately, independently and in a team.
- Ability to problem solve, and to be well organized.

Applicants may be required to take a practical skills assessment test as part of the interview process.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:**
Key responsibilities**:

- Work closely with Stakeholder Coordinator, Project Manager and DOH Clinics to identify defaulted patients.
- Develop tracing and tracking strategy for returning all patients considered to be defaulted.
- Plan and organise activities for tracking all missed appointment
- Identify challenges so that they are addressed on time
- Develop retention strategy to keep participants interested into care.
- Work to complete the retention documentation in all registers
- Work with study coordinator to develop work schedules and performance enhancement interventions for Adherence and Retention
- Follow all contacts as per provided list so that they come to the clinic for repeats and follow-ups.
- Carrying out any other activities deemed necessary for the effective and productive functioning of the study.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Develop community mobilization plan and strategies
- Create and maintain relationships with community stakeholders i.e. traditional structures, political structures, social networks, etc.
- Organizing meetings, events, and seeking out opportunities to make our organization’s presence known.
- Developing and executing annual community outreach plans in line with the Centre’s objectives.
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.
