**Job Description**:

- Managing Health, Safety, Environmental and Risk portfolio of the operation
- Developing and implementing a system to reduce injuries and render the operation a safe and healthy environment
- Facilitating the health, risk and environmental assessment and provide report and guidance to operations
- SHER KPI reporting and management, e.g. audit performance, LTIFR, risk, etc.
- Planning and conducting internal audits to identify areas of improvement
- Arranging external auditing of all systems to ensure continued compliance
- Liaising with the legislative structures - Department of Labour and Health
- Establishing and maintain operational contingency plans
- Ensuring compliance with all safety standards and environmental legislation
- Contractor management - legal compliance and on site operations
- Facilitate incident management, e.g. investigation, legal reporting and record keeping
- Drive risk Management and housekeeping
- Ensuring general compliance to set plans and objectives
- Monitoring & driving of Behaviour Based Safety implementation
- Business Continuity Management system
- Prepare and present monthly reports to the Management Team
- Manage SHER Team
- Drive Environmental Sustainability in line with Divisional strategy

Management of Risk Control Standards implementation

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree or National Diploma in Health & Safety, Risk or Environmental Management, or another related tertiary qualification
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9000, 14000, 45000, 22000 and HACPP systems
- Excellent knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9000, 14000, 45000, 22000 and HACPP systems
- Excellent knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9000, 14000, 45000, 22000 and HACPP systems
- Excellent knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations
- 3 - 5 years SHER experience in a leadership role in a FMCG operation
- Practical problem solving.

- Intermediate to advanced level of computer literacy
- Ability to run thorough investigation on risk assessments and root cause analysis

- Well-developed people management skills
- High energy and assertiveness levels
- Ability to manage complexity. Should have initiative and be able to prioritise.
