Sewing Supervisor

Large furniture manufacturer is looking for a supervisor to manage the sewing line. Based in Pinetown.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- National Diploma: Operation Management or equivalent preferrable
- Industry: preferably from a manufacturing industry or clothing industry

**Duties**:

- Oversee team leaders
- Report to the production manager
- Lead and train sewing operators and team leaders to meet production target
- Follow up daily production, line input, and work in progress
- Reduce work in progress and bottleneck in the sewing line
- Understand machine tension, maintenance, and technical adjustment ( plus)
- Responsible for a sewing line and being under accountability
- Planning Production -Based on the system provided by Company for a Time Limit and Continuing the Same with available Resources Such as Material, Machinery, and Manpower in The Facility
- Wastage reduction & ensuring quality product (QA)
- Ensure all the machines are running according to the specifications in Order to achieve Maximum Production
- Prepare and submit daily production achievement report to the time study clerk
- Safety-oriented and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment such as boots or close shoes
- Keep good relationships with the main QC team
- Ability to plan; Collect all input materials; fabric from the cutting section, thread from the RM stores, Needle from the mechanics and Master plan from the Planning Department
- Collect operation sheet from time study clerk and implement the proposed standard operations processes
- Develop methods to increase efficiency by utilising minimum manpower

**Salary**: R20k - R25k per month
