**Job Description
- You will be responsible for**:

- Implement and monitor group LFI programs at sites
- Guarantee accurate and timely reporting of SHE incidents
- Support/Lead Level 1 to 3 SHE incidents, HPI/HPHs investigations for the site assigned and crosssites when required by group
- Implement LFI training program to build site capabilities following group guidelines. Monitor competency of trained personnel
- Monitor LFI KPIs for the assigned site and establish an operating rhythm with key stakeholders
- Deliver audits to LFI programs to guarantee program consistency and adherence to group instructions
- Provide assurance on corrective actions/learnings, report on ‘repeats’ to site leadership team
- Implement effective LFI communication and engagement programs to share learnings across the site
- Support the implementation of leading safety and sustainable development practice across mining operations and projects in Anglo American.
- Support independent investigations for Level 4 and 5 across group when required
- Advise the line on incident investigation process, incl. how to record incidents & conduct thorough investigation
- Monitor effectiveness of recommend-dations proposed, actions taken and learning transmission
- Provide specialist, technical, or legal input into the investigation report, incl. but not limited to analysing incident data on an ad hoc basis by also leveraging the Intelligence Hub within Security
- Coach the line on appropriate potential corrective actions to take arising from an investigation
- Monitor repeat incidents for various factor or causation levels
- Pro-actively support sharing of learnings from incidents with workforce
- Pro actively support the line in communicating expectations around LFI and incident reporting
- Provide input on how to best implement, integrate, use and improve safety systems/tools
- Provide input on what safety systems/tools are required for given operational requirements
- Collect, monitor and analyse appropriate KPIs
- Complete ad hoc, specialist safety reports as required
- Provide input on what KPIs to track
- Assess trend analyses on control effectiveness across sites/equipment/activities and pro actively suggest mitigations
- Review selection of SLAMs and provide input on quality

**This position reports to SHE Manager.**

**Qualifications
- You must have**:

- Bachelors Degree or Honors degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Sciences, Engineering, SHE (safety, health and environmental).

**Experience required**:

- Must have 3 to 5 years experience in SHE related incident investigations.
- Experience working in a chemical/processing operation.

**Must note**:

- Medical Fitness assessment required
- This position will require some travelling between operations
