**Job description: CNC Operator/Programmer**

API Solutions International (Pty) Ltd is a highly successful company based in

Production team by carrying out daily machining tasks on the CNC Lathe and

Vertical Centre to fulfil the client’s specific requirements.

**Qualification requirements**:

- A minimum of 5-7 years experience in Mazak Mazatrol controls is a must.
- Conventional turning, horizontal and vertical boring milling will be advantageous.

**Additionally, the following requirements will enhance the prospects of success**

**in this position**:

- Accurately interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications and translating the interpretation into actions.
- Checking for tooling, programs and information required for each job.
- Conducting a final drawing inspection before commencing work.
- Preparing raw materials for machining.
- Setting up parts correctly and in a safe manner.
- Sequencing machining steps for new parts.
- Writing and loading programs for CNC machines
- Set up and run new and existing programs on the CNC lathe and Vertical

Centre.
- Measuring, verifying, and recording variances.
- Asking for 1st off and final inspection as requested by the engineering division.
- Performing Verification Programs for costing purposes.
- Ensuring ISO Standards are being followed and implemented.
- Maintaining machines daily in clean, operational, and professional condition.
- Signing off on all paperwork related to quality.
- Must be able to diagnose fault codes on machines if a fault arises.
- Do the required cleaning & maintenance of machinery, equipment, and work areas.
- De-burring of parts after machining.
- Precision Engineering to micrometre tolerances.
- Must be in a position to use all types of critical measuring equipment.
- Sound knowledge of machining tools and ability to improvise.
- Plan effectively by studying workshop job orders, work drawings, and materials to guarantee the best possible production time.
- Must be able to work on your own and run the machine without help.
- Extended hours at short notice due to the nature of the business.
- Shift work is mandatory.
- Work well under pressure and without supervision.
- Traceable references and working experience are essential.
- Sober habits.
- Live within the Durban area with your own means of transport to and from work.
- Position to be filled immediately.

**Financial Offer**:

- This is a salaried position with remuneration of R 17 000 - R 20 000, with statutory deductions as per South African law for taxes etc.

**Salary**: R17,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
