Storeroom Keeper

The Storeroom Keeper’s primary responsibilities are to receive, store, issue and record the trace-ability (receiving them in our CMMS system and notifying individuals of their arrival and location) of all Engineering and or Operations related material, fluids, equipment, spares, tools and consumables. The Associate also has the responsibility of following standards and best practices to ensure good housekeeping and a safe environment for all associates accessing the storeroom. This position will furthermore have a responsibility on inventory governance and value.
**What are we looking for?**:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Work shifts/weekends/public holidays when required
- Valid driver’s license
- Must learn to operate material handling equipment
**What will be your key responsibilities?**:
- Implement and manage the MSE Storeroom Management System
- Responsible for the management of 5S and cleanliness of the storeroom and receiving area ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
- Manage access requests to stockroom according to site standard
- Receive orders to ensure all goods are received according to the purchase order. Escalate when requested following internal workflow
- Completes in CMMS the receiving portion of all POs generated
- Implement and track stockroom KPIs
- Diligently works to understand deficiencies in the storeroom and actions against them to close gaps
- Complete the cycle counts and reports on the results and actions to close the gaps
- Places orders for parts that fall under the minimum quantity level identified in the CMMS following Finance rules on Segregation of Duties.
- Point of contact of MRO suppliers
- Kits parts that are requested for jobs requested by planners
- Works in collaboration with the Technical team on continuous improvement on items stock level
- Assists in placing orders for emergency spares in conjunction with the Technical team
- Other duties as assigned
