Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate all aspects of supply through supply planning, sourcing, making, inventory management, packaging, delivery, systems, logistics management & projects. We partner across the Marketing, Finance, Regulatory and External Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan and ensure we get products to the right customer, at the place, at the right time.

**The position**:
Reporting to the DF/D&L Supply Chain Manager South Africa, the position is primarily responsible to support Supply Chain activities required for freight management. This role tracks, plans & manages freight movements into the country, within the country or out of the country. It will entail co-ordination with the Supply Team, Factory, Logistics Service Providers for the booking, clearing/ forwarding, transportation & related activities to facilitate freight movements.

The position builds and maintains relationships with the relevant internal & external stakeholders such as SA Leadership Team, Commercial Operations, IMQ (In Market Quality), Global Supply Chain & Logistics, Finance, Enterprise Solutions, Demand Fulfilment, External Manufacturing, Logistics Service Providers.

**Main responsibilities**

Primary activities include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Supply Chain
- Understand Supply Chain systems, process & 3PL activates required for South Africa/ Africa to manage shipments
- Oversight of 3PL activities/ processes/ systems from inbound to outbound
- Engage with various internal & external stakeholders like finance, commercial, supply, factory, service providers to gather relevant insights & information required for operations
- Ensure consistent supply of products, monitor inventory levels to ensure optimization of operations and to avoid stock out or write off
- Provide tracking, visibility & reporting of shipments in various stages of its life cycle

Customs
- Facilitate the customs clearance process for imports/ exports
- Gather & provide the necessary documents required for the customs clearance of Organon shipments to the relevant service providers
- Create & update processes to ensure efficient ways of working
- Plan & manage operations to ensure that no additional charges are incurred

Primary Transport
- Co-ordinate & manage transport from port to factory to warehouse with approved service providers
- Ensure additional services are used for relevant shipments & record transactions for validation of supplier payment
- Plan & manage operations to ensure that no additional charges are incurred

Logistics
- ERP system and functioning oversight, stock inventory reconciliation
- Inventory Management, must make sure that physical stock balances to the internal & 3PL system, ensuring that all transactions or adjustments are valid & processed on time
- Collaboration with IMQ (In-Market Quality) in monitoring supplier performance
- Ensures that stock counts & cycle counts are performed in accordance with the guidelines

Support
- Demand Planning activates where required for operations
- Supply Planning processes linked to the supply of product
- Various projects that are part of the Supply Chain agenda

Budget
- Maintains and control spend within
