**Job Advertisement: Handyman Wanted in Chloorkop, Kempton Park**

**Location**: Chloorkop, Kempton Park
**Reports To**: Deputy Operations Manager

Are you a skilled and dedicated Handyman with a passion for maintenance? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Chloorkop, Kempton Park. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform general maintenance and repair work, including building upkeep, painting and plumbing.
- Conduct routine facility inspections to identify and address issues.
- Maintain and install light fittings.
- Paint and repair gaps or crevices on walls and sidewalks.
- Undertake basic cabinetry work as needed.
- Repair equipment and appliances, including basic electrical and plumbing tasks.
- Identify and report the need for major repairs.
- Repair furniture, doors, and windows.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of all tasks.
- Maintain the general appearance of grounds and buildings.
- Ensure safety by managing equipment and materials appropriately.
- Carry out any additional reasonable tasks assigned by management.
- Driving to purchase building maintenance equipment/items
- Handle general ad hoc duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Matric or equivalent qualification.
- Fluency in English.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Sober habits.
- Clear criminal and credit record.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Hands-on problem-solving approach and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Honest, trustworthy, and detail-oriented.
- Presentable and well-spoken.
- Team player who leads by example.
- Proactive and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance/handyman experience, including painting, tiling, plumbing, and electrical work.

**Skills**:

- Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
- Competence in using common power and hand tools safely.

**Competencies**:

- Ability to follow job and safety instructions.
- Capable of working without supervision.
- Strong time management skills.
