Building Foreman

Stellenbosch, Western Cape, our client a large building contractor require an experienced building foreman to join their project team.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- **Site Management**:_
- Oversee and manage the construction projects assigned to you from start to finish.
- Coordinate with the site manager to ensure projects are executed within the given timeline and budget.
- Assist in the monitoring and manage the delivery, and usage of construction materials efficiently.
- Minimize wastage and ensure the timely availability of materials on-site.
- Enforce strict adherence to quality control procedures and standards throughout the construction process.
- Conduct regular inspections and checks to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prioritize safety on the construction site and ensure all workers and subcontractors adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the site manager
- Demonstrate a strong understanding and experience in wet trades, such as concrete, masonry, plastering, waterproofing and earthworks, finishing experience would be an advantage.
- Lead and motivate the construction team, ensuring they work efficiently and effectively.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment
- **Subcontractor Management**_:

- Supervise and manage subcontractors, ensuring they perform their tasks efficiently and meet quality standards.
- Allocate work to subcontractors and ensure they have the necessary resources and information to complete their tasks.
- **Requirements**:_
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on residential developments, apartments, and stand-alone housing projects.
- Strong expertise in wet trades.
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects to completion.
- Ability to manage subcontractors.
- Thorough understanding of quality control procedures and standards in the construction industry.
- Strong commitment to safety
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- References from previous employers or clients available upon request.
