**Role Purpose**:
Senior Specialist DLS will be responsible for leading technical delivery and team management within Digital and Lifestyle Services (DLS). Be proficient in, Integration, Micro Service API development and design. Provide high level support to resolve complex integration design and development problems. Provide architectural and integration guidance to all systems and project streams ensuring that best practises and governance are adhered to in the development of solutions for Vodacom.
This role requires experience with building APIs, integrating with Enterprise Systems and 3rd party systems, with proven experience in architecting and refactoring complex systems.
The role requires deep analytical abilities in system design and requirements decomposition, ability to understand business problems and requirements and design systems to meet both the functional and non-functional requirements.
The role requires experience with CI/CD practices, pipelines, containers/containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and micro services patterns.
The role is responsible for KPI management and ensuring mandates of uptime, latency, resilience and security are met and are consistently above mandated levels.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
To perform regular system analysis and integration design input by assessing requirements in terms of feasibility, impact and cost.
To provide high level support to Middleware, APi, ER development and support teams, ensure business strategic initiatives are timeously achieved.
Ensuring API policies on traffic throttling, caching, quotas, payload transformation, and security are always considered.
Evaluate all design alternatives to identify cost effective solutions that address the business needs and requirements.
Champion governance, ensure security policies are consistently applied.
Ensure all technical interface specifications and integration documentation are updated regular by development teams and ensure alignment with the Vodafone Group principles and guidelines.
Define short and long term roadmap for Integration, MicroService exposure and API Cloud strategy.
Provide Vendor management and approve all new service costs, timeframe and effort to develop.

3 Year Degree / equivalent Diploma /equivalent Certificate in Information Technology / Business / Project Management (essential), and
5 - 8 Years Integration, Development and Design experience preferably in a highly complex environment (essential).
