Trainee Estimator

An EME based in Pretoria East, Waltloo is looking for an energetic, sharp, dedicated and well-groomed intern to join their team.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
- Must be residing in Pretoria East or Central
- Must have a driver’s license

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Must have basic understanding of electrical and/or mechanical works
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Engineering analysis and calculations
- Excellent computing skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Good command of English
- Must have an inquisitive and entrepreneurial mind
- Experience in tender/bid administration and office management (1 year plus)
- Excellent knowledge of the supply chain (sourcing for goods/services, logistics, imports/exports, etc.)
- Good understanding of site management/administration
- Must be honest, self-starter and dependable
- Must be deadline driven
- Must be physically fit and able to drive

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Analyzing and interpreting technical drawings
- Sourcing of tenders
- Completing tender documentation
- Completing technical, commercial and administrative tender requirements
- Attending meetings, scribing and archiving
- Requesting quotations
- Communicating and building relationships with suppliers and vendors
