Driver I

**Core purpose of the role**

The core purpose of this position is to safely and courteously transport people and goods as required within the department. To make “magic” in this job, you will have a high level of driving skills and adhere to the rules of the road. You will have the ability to build good relationships with customers and suppliers, and be a diplomat, acting very professionally always.

**Key deliverables and outputs**

**Driving Duties**
- Do the necessary driving for the department, transporting goods and/or people.
- Submit administration relating to the position.
- Manage risk by ensuring company assets are properly taken care of.
- Work in a service-oriented environment and provide exceptional service.
- Assistance with vehicle management in the warehouse
- Build good supplier relationships.
- Be able to manage yourself.
- Enjoining amiable relations with fellow colleagues to maintain smooth workflow processes.

**Safety and Security**
- Workplace is kept in a neat, dry and hygienic condition.
- Proactive awareness of surroundings, identify, report and or resolve all risks areas health or security.
- Wear protective clothing supplied (Range: boots etc.)
- Adhere to security protocols on site and at client bases.
- Maintaining records of and safe handovers of assets to receiving department.
- Be aware of evacuation plan and all relevant Health and safety plans.
- All concerns to be raised with Supervisor/Manager

**General**
- You will be required to collect and drop off vehicles, assist in any other driver-related duties for the dealership, and assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks from time to time.

**Academic qualifications**

**Essential**:

- Matric Certificate
- Unendorsed Driver’s License (Code 10 or 14)

**Note**:

- Valid Driver’s license
- No criminal Record
- This position will require working outdoors and a level of general physical.
