**Job Advert**:
Our Cellular team is expanding and a permanent opportunity has become available in our Cellular Planning team for a Product Planner. If you’re passionate about product, technology and have sound planning experience then this is the position for you.

To achieve the SBU’s strategy by effectively delivering, implementing, and managing the departmental business plans.To optimise sales by ensuring the timeous ordering and delivery of cellular product in the right quantity to the right stores in accordance with required service level agreements.

**Qualifications**:

- A Grade 12 certificate is an essential requirement.
- A relevant tertiary qualification would be a definite advantage.
- Preferred qualifications are: B. Comm. / B.Science degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Stats and Business Science OR
- National Diploma majoring in Internal Auditing and/or Cost and Management Accounting OR
- National Diploma in Financial Information Systems

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
**Knowledge required**:

- An in-depth knowledge and understanding of planning concepts, methodologies, systems and processes.
- An understanding of the logistics and supply chain environment and understanding retail.

**Skills required**:

- Proficient in planning, organising, monitoring and controlling
- Sound Business Acumen and sound commercial mentality
- Proficient in building and maintaining relationships
- Sound numerical ability
- Analytical thinking & logical problem-solving
- Conflict resolution skills
- Effective time management and self-management skills
- The ability to - be resilient - adapt well to change - work independently and within a team - manage stress effectively - be self-driven - be innovative - be accurate; paying close attention to detail - be assertive - negotiate and influence
- Effective written and oral communication skills

**Experience required**:

- A minimum of 2-3 years sound experience in store planning within a clothing retail environment is an essential requirement.
- Replenishment and assortment planning experience within a Cellular or similar FMCG environment.
- Prior Store planning experience
- Experience working in planning systems
- Previous exposure to general logistics and supply chain processes

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To deliver and implement departmental business plans/budgets that supports the SBU’s product strategy.
- To achieve and exceed the agreed KPI’s as signed off at the seasonal Business Plan
- To deliver balanced merchandise assortments within the required time frame that supports the signed-off departmental business strategy.
- To accurately and continuously forecast replenishment inflows to achieve sales plans.
- To assist stores in resolving any queries relating to stock and to analyses store performance and provide accurate and timeous information to optimize business decision making.
- To ensure the accurate distribution of replenishment stock; to optimize sales
- To deliver replenishment profiles at the required product level and to supply inputs to the seasonal look for the required visual merchandising; all within the required time - frames.
- To deliver a location plan that allows for the clustering of stores at the required product level.
