**While the position is remote**:
The employee’s public holidays will be aligned to UK bank holidays and SA public holidays will be deemed ordinary working days.

Growth Hub is looking for an Appeals Clerk with a legal secretary background to join our client’s team based in the UK.

**WHAT WILL WE NEED FROM YOU?**
- Processing appeals in compliance with:
- DVLA regulations
- GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- The British Parking Association’s Approved Operator Code of Practice (current version 8 - January 2020) any subsequent versions thereof
- The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012
- Internal processes and procedures
- Assessing the validity of appeals in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of parking at the location
- Deciding whether to reject or uphold based on the documented instructions
- Investigating payment reports where necessary via the Business Intelligence reporting system
- Investigating movements reports where necessary via the Business Intelligence
- reporting system
- Ensuring the case management system (currently G3) is updated to reflect any and all action taken:
- A communication note to be added for any and all correspondence sent
- A communication note must include a brief summary of the appeal grounds and the action taken
- Agreements set accordingly
- Relevant cancellation reason selected for all cancellations
- Cases placed on hold under the correct hold reason where required
- Amending GroupNexus appeals response templates as required to address all grounds of appeal raised
- Requesting refund approval via the refund spreadsheet process
- Identifying any potential individual technical or site issues
- Identifying any general trends in appeal grounds
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Matric / Grade 12 NSC
- 2+ years experience in a legal secretary / legal officer position.
- Natural fast learner and ability to grasp laws and regulations quickly and independently.
- Highly organised and can work under pressure effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates a flexible, roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and responds with a sense of urgency.
- Strong attention to detail, delivering 100% accuracy.
- Good IT user skills.
- Fully equipped to work remotely for the first part of employment.
- Curious, flexible, self-motivated.
- Ability to undertake successful continuous improvement and to deal with change effectively.
- Good at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of working in an international environment would be a distinct advantage.

**Salary**: R10,000.00 - R13,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
