- Good understanding of the company’s quality management system.
- Vast knowledge and skills in asphalt, aggregate, specialised testing and binder technology required.
- Be able to address and resolve quality issues.
- Knowledge of updating and maintaining standard operating procedures for laboratory processes.
- Lead lab team and ensure results are inspected and processed as per QMS.
- Knowledge of SANAS 17025 standards and be able to demonstrate adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Matric or equivalent
- National Diploma in Civil, chemistry, materials science is advantageous.
- At least 5 to 7 years’ experience in a supervisory role in asphalt and bituminous industry.
- Evidence of experience gained with a leadership position held in the laboratory environment.
