The Membership Liaison and Events/Marketing Manager seeks to deliver significant contribution towards the business’ productivity and growth goals.
The Membership Liaison and Events/Marketing Manager deals with varying stakeholder and member needs, and key relationships at an executive level - internally and externally.
The role will be responsible for all member-facing activities and will oversee and organise all club events and functions that will make an impact to a target audience.
Development and implementation of marketing related duties within the golf club environment and under the guidance of the General Manager implement, monitor, report and analyse proposals, campaigns and events and be responsible for the overall success.
Streamline communication from all departments and ensure compliance of CI before final material is distributed to members, uploaded to social media platforms, or shared with the media.
Will be responsible for ensuring the close integration with the overall strategy and activities of golf, events, and membership departments.
**REQUIREMENTS**
The job entails the following outputs but is not limited to other outputs:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with members to encourage participation in club events and maintain a high level of member satisfaction
- Monitor member trends, queries and issues to facilitate an understanding of their needs for the purposes of directing relationship management and marketing
- Handle the production of member-related communication materials to keep members abreast of ongoing club activities
- Manage all steps of the member on-boarding process
- Design and implement initiatives meant to welcome new members, and others to keep current members engaged
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sponsors to encourage participation in club events
- Effectively communicate with business peers to increase knowledge of membership goals, membership satisfaction, membership retention, and membership activities
- Responsible for the creation, implementation, and execution of member related events.
- Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives
- Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success
- Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
- Coordinate all operations
- Lead promotional activities for the event
- Manage all aspects before the day of the event
- Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
- Analyse the event’s success and prepare reports (in cooperation with peers)
- To deal with all incoming calls as appropriate
- To handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence
- To interact with members and public and to resolve all possible issues without referral
- To edit and distribute the newsletter
- Assist with presentations
- Portraying a professional image at all times for the business.
- To oversee compliance with Club procedures
- ** PR AND BRAND BUILDING**
Ensure close coordination between all relevant departments such as golf, events, and food & beverage - on a daily basis.
- Maximise online presence by implementing creative, strategic, and tactical online marketing plans for social media including brand websites, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other relevant online and emerging sites.
- Monitor and engage, when necessary, in brand related online conversations.
- Duties also include online advocacy, blog research and writing, community-outreach efforts, promotions, etc
- Organise, develop and maintain a variety of marketing elements including, but not limited to updating and maintaining the brands’ social websites (which may include a blog and feedback analytics platform) with new images, content and product information on a continual basis.
- Develop, manage and implement an effective digital marketing strategy to optimise the club’s digital marketing and social media processes to improve brand awareness, engagement, and conversions
- Revenue generation across all media platforms (as outlined above)
- Facilitate Sponsorship opportunities, Co-ordination, and management thereof.
- Work with designer to create POS material and implementation of all marketing & promotional elements
- Writing press releases and distribution of them to relevant print and electronic media.
- Facilitate design and content management of Website (Compiling information and updating news with relevant results, information etc.)
- Become an advocate of the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate.
- Set up campaign calendars, create monthly progress reports and campaign summary reports.
