**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned region (or market segment).
- Provide information on the company’s products and services to existing and potential customers and by finding out their requirements, assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
- Make telephone calls, in-person visits, and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Coordinates sales effort with sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
- Analyse the territory and market potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customer’s value to the company.
- Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
- Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential (including using Databuild).
- Schedule visits to important customers regularly.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Generate sales:
1. Take orders

2. Open accounts

3. Place orders with the hire desk

4. Help with machine settings

5. Negotiate prices

6. Obtain authorization on prices

7. Deliver quotations/proposals

8. Conduct demonstrations at Atlas Plant Hire

9. Obtain orders (order numbers) from customers

10. Deliver the machine with the Technician

11. Follow up on the delivery process (logistics)

12. Ensure installation is correct
- Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Stay up to date with the latest technology, new product developments, technical services and specifications through discussions with colleagues and by attending relevant training sessions.
- Keep abreast with market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing areas.
- Participate in trade shows and conventions.
- Identify advantages and compare company’s products and services.
- Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory (/or segment).
- Responsible for maintaining travel and entertainment costs

**Competencies**:

- Proficiency in English: Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good telephone etiquette
- Able to plan and manage time and priorities
- Motivated, responsive, driven and energetic
- Able to work in a team
- Excellent interpersonal skills. A confident, organized, and strong communicator
- Customer-centric. A polite but tenacious telephone manner and good systems knowledge
- Leadership competencies - driving accountability, initiating action, building and maintaining stakeholder relationships, cross-cultural awareness, organizational and business understanding, articulating and cascading the vision and values, strategic focus, decisive insight, team leadership
- Results and Target driven
- Needs to work independently when needed

**Skills**:
**3-5 years experience as a sales consultant**

**Matric and marketing degree**

**Be willing to travel**

**A driver's license is a must-have.**

**Salary market-related.**
