**Overview**:
As a Lab Plants Researcher and Trainer, you will be responsible for conducting research on plants, managing the laboratory, and supervising students undergoing training. This role requires a strong background in plant science, laboratory management, and mentoring students.

**Conduct Research on Plants**:
Design and execute experiments to study various aspects of plant biology, including growth, development, physiology, and genetics.

Analyze experimental data and interpret results to draw meaningful conclusions.

Stay updated with the latest developments in plant science and incorporate relevant techniques and methodologies into research projects.

**Manage the Laboratory**:
Ensure the smooth functioning of the laboratory by overseeing equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, and managing budgets.

Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines for handling hazardous materials and experimental procedures.

Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during experiments and collaborate with technical support staff when necessary.

**Supervise Student Training**:
Mentor undergraduate and graduate students involved in research projects, providing guidance on experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication.

Facilitate training sessions to familiarize students with laboratory techniques, safety procedures, and ethical considerations in research.

Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and encourage professional development opportunities.

**Collaborate with Team Members**:

**Qualifications**

Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Botany, Plant Physiology, or a related field.

Demonstrated expertise in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation in the field of plant science.

Prior experience in laboratory management, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, safety protocols, planning, and budgeting.

Strong planning and budgeting skills, with the ability to develop project plans, allocate resources efficiently, and adhere to budgetary constraints.

Strong mentoring and communication skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and train students at various academic levels.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
