We are seeking to appoint a highly production orientated individual, who will assist with managing plates and meeting all production plate mounting requirements.

**The Role**

In this exciting and varied role, you will:

- Receiving plates and quantifying before acknowledging on delivery note.
- Receiving consumables from dispatch and reporting when consumable inventory is low.
- Creating jackets, scribing plates, logging plates received, and filing of new plates as needed.
- Checking daily print targets, retrieving relevant jackets, checking condition of plates, checking availability of colour standards, and customer approved artwork in preparation for mounting operators.
- Logging damaged plates with reasons, and escalating repeat plate requirement to plateroom supervisor.
- Checking all elements are returned to the jacket and correctly filing of all jackets after production is completed.
- Cross referencing production order documents and trial documents, to artworks and plates received.
- Obsoleting old artworks and plates and disposing correctly.
- Checking damaged sleeves daily and quantifying for reporting to Plateroom Supervisor.
- Reporting in Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings as and when required.

**The Person**
- To succeed in this role you will:

- Must be able to follow instructions - plate room co-ordinator & plate room supervisor.
- Must be a team player that is hands on and willing to fill the gaps that may arise in the plateroom.
- Must be able to work under pressure and can prioritize work, foreseeing any areas where problems may arise and aiding to prevent any interruptions of supply to production.
- Must be computer literate
- Must be meticulous.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Well organized, neat and self disciplined.
- Must be able to effectively communicate the needs of the plateroom and themselves, as well as difficulties experiences.
- Must be able to identify opportunities for improvement and be an effective part of the continuous improvement team.
- Must be self driven, willing to consistently learn and able to assist with troubleshooting when plate issues arise on press.
- Advantageous:

- Mounting experience
- Cutting of plates
- General knowledge of plate room processes ( artwork, plates, colour standards etc )
- General knowledge of flexo printing
