Sales Rep (Steel and Tube) job vacancy in Cape Town.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- 3-5 years’ experience selling mild steel and related products is essential.
- Sound knowledge of the Eastern Cape province.
- Must be target driven regarding turnover and gross profit.
- Understanding of sales process and dynamics.
- A commitment to excellent customer service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a valid drivers’ licence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Generating leads.
- Identify and establish contact with potential customers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Follow industry trends to identify new opportunities for potential sales.
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
- Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
- Maintaining client records.
- Assisting customers with queries related to products, pricing, and availability.
- Servicing of new and existing customers.
- Completing of call reports.
- Assisting customers with technical advice and queries.
- Opening of new sustainable accounts.
- Achieving monthly target.
- Establishing, developing, and maintaining good customer relationships.
- Identify new opportunities for potential sales.
- Accurately report on market trends, pricing, and projects
- Expedite sales orders.
- Work closely with Internal Sales staff to ensure best possible service to customers.
- Check stock do quotes and process sales orders on Syspro.
- Assisting the Counter Sales staff when required.
- Sort out account queries and follow up on outstanding payments.
