**Primary functions will be**:
- To test all drivers against the relevant training material
- To screen all drivers prior to them being hired.
- Arrange for eye tests
- Ensure criminal checks are complete
- Send all drivers for medical tests and eye-tests
- Check previous employment history
- Check validity of driver’s license
- To evaluate the effectiveness of Drivers
- Classroom performance
- In Cab training
- Loading and off loading
- Adhoc duties
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Induct new drivers and facilitate full driver training, both accredited and unaccredited training.
- The induction of new Drivers.
- Facilitate contract specific training as per contract.
- Facilitate refresher training annually before drivers’ certification expires.
- Facilitate remedial training as per the relevant policy, where performance is unsatisfactory, or an incident has occurred
- Monitor the performance of and train drivers with respect to:
- Drive Cam, Mixtelematics, etc.
- Conduct formal and discreet driver observations wrt:
- Vehicle documentation (Fleet Control)
- Personal standards (observe)
- Vehicle cleanliness (workshop fault reports)
- Loading and Off Loading
- Observe and correct driving faults
- Maintain up to date registers and Portfolios of Evidence
- Conduct and complete Route Risk Assessments and Journey Plans
- Conduct in-cab assessments to ensure driver performance is up to standard
- Form K QP HR 053
- Participate in RCI’s where required
- Create and maintain weekly training planner
- Create and maintain training matrix
- Make recommendations and update training manuals, where necessary
- Recruit new drivers, where required, by following proper procedures
- Conduct MIE and reference checks for new recruits, where required
- To test all drivers against the relevant training material

**Job Type**: Permanent
Pay: R40 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month
