Junior Video Editor

Thuma Mina Teaching is looking for a motivated and innovative Junior Video Editor to join our vibrant team. As a Junior Video Editor, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting bespoke lessons that will serve thousands of learners across South Africa. This position operates on a hybrid model, necessitating 2 days per week on-site at our Wellington location and 3 days per week working remotely.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with the content team to grasp educational objectives and produce video lessons aligned with the curriculum.
- Edit and compile raw video footage into refined, high-quality educational content.
- Integrate graphics, animations, and visual elements to enhance the educational value of the content.
- Ensure video content complies with TMT's quality standards and branding guidelines.
- Stay updated on video editing software and techniques, continuously enhancing lesson quality.
- Work collaboratively with the content team, implementing feedback and refining video content as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated experience in video editing, showcasing a strong portfolio of editing skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is a strict requirement
- Deep understanding of educational content and the ability to translate curriculum objectives into engaging video lessons
- Outstanding attention to detail coupled with a creative mindset
- Strong communication skills and adeptness in collaborative teamwork
- Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans

**Requirements**:

- Availability for on-site work in Wellington, Western Cape, 2 days per week
- Ability to work remotely for 3 days per week
- A fervent passion for education and an alignment with TMT's mission, vision, and Christian value system
- Familiarity with the educational landscape in South Africa

**Job Types**: Permanent, Temporary

**Salary**: R12,000.00 per month
