Technical Writer

Durbanville, Western Cape

The Technical Writer will be responsible for writing content, user manuals, design specifications, system manuals, assembly instructions and other documents for a wide range of users as well as proofreading and editing other company documentation and digital media content

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Create wireframes and video scripts content
- Review videos and website prototypes for functionality, grammar and spelling
- Attend briefings and training on company hardware, installation procedures and systems
- Write product manuals, operational guides, how-to documentation and other company documentation
- Proofread, edit and rewritten company documentation
- Ensure the upkeep of documentation, version control, backups and distribution

**Minimum requirements**
- Grade 12 or equivalent certificate essential
- Relevant degree/diploma in Copywriting, Journalism, Languages or Communication Studies
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
- Writing experience in a field of a technical nature
- Knowledge of copyright and plagiarism legislation
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign will be advantageous

**Salary**: From R1.00 per month
