INTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE (PE)
Join our dynamic team at DIESEL-ELECTRIC (CAPE)(RF) (PTY) LTD, a leading automotive wholesaler dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to fill the role of Internal Sales Representative at our PE Branch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Maintain a maximum credit return rate and ensure specially ordered goods are marked as non-returnable.
- Meet a monthly sales target.
- Accurately complete invoices with your sales code and customer details.
- Open COD accounts for counter cash sales customers to expand the customer database.
- Update and release backorders ensuring orders are placed for customers.
Customer Service:
- Provide prompt updates on logístical, delivery, or supply issues that may impact customers.
- Communicate potential account problems, such as credit limit concerns, to your line manager.
- Greet and assist customers promptly, and provide timely feedback on messages, calls, and quotations.
- Ensure correct parts are handed over to customers and never refer them to competitors.
- Process customer claims and returns through the appropriate channels.
Administration:
- Update customer information and keep track of claims and credits.
- Diligently complete lost sales reports for any product that could not be supplied or was uncompetitive.
- Attend stock-takes, company functions, and trade evenings as required.
- Maintain a neat and organized workstation, adhering to dress code and appearance standards.
- Perform additional ad-hoc duties as requested by the Branch Manager.
Minimum requirements:
- Matric.
- Proven experience in sales in a similar automotive role.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of the industry and products is advantageous.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
