**Area/Location: Johannesburg Southern Suburbs**

**Job Purpose**:

- To safely carry out preventive maintenance and repairs to the plant and equipment in line with documented work.

**Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality**:

- Participate and comply with SHEQ Requirements (SHEQ Toolbox talk, Audits)

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, quality and housekeeping in the maintenance department
- Maintain and repair mechanical parts, components and equipment as well as low and high level electrical equipment
- Comply with OHSA standards, ensure that electrical installations comply with statutory regulations, conform to safety standard and planned maintenance system requirements
- Complete breakdown work order, create work order requests, provide feedback and generate orders on the Maintenance Connection System

**Related Experience**:

- Previous experience on the following equipment and systems will be an added advantage
- Compressors, Rolling Mills, Cranes, Presses, Expanders, Wire drawing machines
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics

**Requirements**:
**Education Requirements**:

- Matric
- Applicants must have passed a trade test as a Fitter (qualified artisan)
- JOB TRAINING: Good post apprenticeship experience on mechanical machinery and systems
- Technical Requirements
- Good mechanical aptitude and insight (Can use measuring instruments, precision filing,
- Should be able to interpret pneumatic drawings
- Sound knowledge of bearings and there maintenance
