Petra Diamonds is a leading independent diamond mining group and an increasingly important supplier of rough diamonds to
the international market. The position is based in Cullinan.

**Role Purpose**: Reporting to the Lead: Business Improvement, the role will provide business and process improvement analytical

and system support to the group and mine based Business Improvement (BI) teams, frequently involving facilitating workshops,
individual and group coaching, and change management sessions. Identify and design new and improved business process
systems and procedures. Optimise existing BI control systems and data solutions. Key stakeholder for business data management
& analytics.

**Responsibilities: **

Execute the BI framework, systems and programs and provide assurance to the Lead: Business Improvement.

Implement programs, standards & controls, guidelines and schedules.

Identify deviations to standards through appropriate work processes and report and make recommendation to Lead: Business
Improvement.

Keep abreast of latest developments in area of expertise and provide expert analytical, software and process support from the
centre to mine based BI teams.

Direct and evaluate design, standardisation and or customisation of data management training interventions and material such
as the "Power" platform, SQL and applicable programming platforms.

Lead the maintenance of the BI software and integration with other systems to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting
information.

Provide training on BI framework and data and analytic solutions to a specialist level.

Participate in the BI talent management process by providing input and guidance on the operational succession planning
process.

Contribute to the budgeting process for BI training and BI software.

Provide technical consulting, troubleshooting and project management services.

Identify important variables and focus areas in the business.

Participate in recruitment and selection of BI analysts (including technical competency assessment) where necessary.

Ensure compliance to statutory requirements, company policies, procedures and COP’s.

Supervises subordinates in the designated area by prioritising tasks, over-inspection, identifying training requirements,
controlling labour relief, advising/ guiding/ coaching/ disciplining.

Establish and maintain good working relationships and an effective / sound communication system with the BI Function.

Engage internal and external stakeholders on BI related matters, and support operations on BI related engagement.

Risk Management & Liabilities: Participate in a sustainable process to identify, assess and rank BI risk as these relate to the
business and operations, in order to promote a BI and risk-aware culture, ensure that any potential impact is understood, and
facilitate effective decision making, BI risk mitigation and provide this as input into the ERM program.

Implement risk mitigations plans and controls.

Effective Team Player and Effective Self Management.

**Minimum Requirements: **

Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field like computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics or related field.

Certification in Data Management and Enterprise Architecture or covered by degree.

Certification in SQL, Power Platforms and Programming or covered by degree.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in process improvement in business environment.

Experience in data extraction, transformation, cleaning, and validation.

Programming in R and/or Python (must), VB.Net, C#, JavaScript.

Proven experience in working with large datasets and relational databases (SQL).

Valid driver’s license.

**Advantage: **

Advanced degree in quantitative field like computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics or related field.

Leadership Development Programme (LDP) or equivalent qualification.

Demonstrated experience in data governance / data treatment / data mining in SQL, Access, and Excel.

Experience implementing advanced analytics / data science models into a production environment.

Experience working in a systems engineering project environment.

**Technical Competencies: **

Distinctive communications skills and ability to communicate analytical and technical content in an easy to understand way.

Excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and
recommend solutions.

Develop and
