RCL FOODS is seeking a **Production Supervisor **to join our Beverages division. The role will be based in **Pretoria West **and report to the **Operations Manager**.

The purpose of the role is to directly supervising hourly Cooking, Fermentation and Planning as per the floor plan adherence and drive daily production activities with effective communication and leadership.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day to day operations.

Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.

Be responsible for production output, product quality and on time shipping.

Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.

Meet aggressive production and safety goals while minimizing equipment downtime.

Plan, direct, coordinate and assign manpower to meet aggressive production schedules.

Manage and signing off production documentation and training on production procedures and work instructions.

Tracking staff absenteeism and time keeping, minimizing overtime and casual’s expense.

Ensures machineries are clean, well maintained and good housekeeping.

Ensure housekeeping is always applied.

Follow up and closing of non-conformances.

Easy to talk to and team player, able to address employee’s complaints and problem solving.

Ensures the safest working environment possible for staff and conducive to teamwork.

Able to share skills and empowering of subordinates.

Ensuring everyone adhere to SOP and company policy and procedures.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices this would include making sure that everyone is wearing required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling and fall restraints.

Provide a clear sense of direction and focus.

Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.

Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.

Collect and analyses data to find places of waste or overtime.

Commit to plant safety procedures.

Influence and learn from below.

Update daily cooking and fermentation on information.

Minimise losses.

**Minimum Requirements**:
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

At least 03 years’ experience in Supervisory position.

Knowledge and experience in FMGC environment

FSMS systems experience

**Competencies Required**

Must be able to read and write reports.

Be brilliant at basics.

Approachable

Take accountability for results and people.

Be able to work in a team.

Ability to work under pressure.

Must pass annual medical examination.

Must be willing to work shifts.

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends / Public Holidays

Reporting of problems to Shift Manager

Clean as you go policy.

Problem solving ability.

Performance driven.

Work under pressure from time to time.
