Accounts Clerk

**1.** **Duties will include**:
1. Debtors’ duties
- Receipting of payments from the bank account and allocating to the respective invoices on the debtor accounts
- Reconciling of the COD and direct deposit facility
- Compiling and sending out of monthly statements
- Collection of payments from debtors

2. Creditors
- Capture and process all invoices/statement
- Prepare creditor recons and pay accordingly and timeously
- Loading of payment onto the bank
- Attend to claim queries by submitting the request, following up and balancing the claims to the remittance

3. Processing and reconciling of cashbook
- Reconcile all cash and speed points between the bank and cashbook
- Identify, investigate, and resolve queries/discrepancies timeously
- Maintain an effective filing system to ensure that all records are complete and accurate

4. Petty cash
- Controlling, issuing and reconciling of the petty cash

5. HR Duties
- Signing up of employees upon recruitment and conducting employee induction
- Monitor time and attendance of employees, identify absenteeism trends and report to management
- Collating and capturing payroll information monthly
- Attending to pay queries
- Assisting management with the disciplining of employees

6. General administration
- operate the switchboard which includes answering and transferring telephone calls and/or taking messages where applicable
- Ordering of stationery and refreshments
- General filing and record maintenance

**2.** **Requirements**
- Matric
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Computer Literate on MS Office
- Knowledge of K8 would be advantageous
- Effective communication including soft skills and able to multi-task
- A team worker who is able to work well independently and with mínimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and able to work accurately under pressure in the fast-paced retail environment

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Eshowe, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
